In 2014 I was commissioned to construct a large scale sculptural stage piece for an interactive performance show at the Edinburgh Comedy Fringe.
Using textile, assorted fabrics & other media incorporating LED lights, I developed new techniques to create an ‘entrance’ that had to be visually exciting, relevant to the performance & robust enough for use in multiple performances.
Both set & performance received good reviews and many audience members got involved in exploring the set after the show, taking photos to share on various social media sites.
As this project involved working with a performance artist, it presents an interesting departure from my previous solo, personal focussed work & has created further creative collaborative opportunities.
I am currently working on a proposal for another multi-media sculpture with a sound artist.
